Shota Gujabidze spoke on TV 36’s Free Business program about urban development in Tbilisi, intensive construction, and the regulation of development.
According to Gujabidze, the growth of a modern city and high-rise construction are a natural part of urban development. The key issue, however, is how systematically and effectively development is managed and how well the relevant regulations, technical standards, enforcement procedures, and control mechanisms function.
He noted that Georgia’s real estate market and regulatory system are still evolving, while emphasizing a clear positive trend compared with previous years in the effectiveness of municipal architecture and supervision authorities and in the enforcement of construction regulations.
